LUNEIA VALUES : HOW WE’RE WORKING TOWARDS OUR GOALS

Here at LUNEIA, our aim is to create science-led, efficacious skincare products that make an impact on everything except our planet. Championing the idea that using sustainably conscious products shouldn’t mean you have to compromise on aesthetic OR results, we formulate with the notion that you really can have it all.

Because of this, our values are at our core; they steer everything we do. We’d love for you to join us on our pursuit for change whilst you work on your own mission for glowing skin.

FORGET WHAT YOU THINK YOU KNOW ABOUT WHAT A ‘SUSTAINABLE’ BRAND LOOKS LIKE

NO BROWN CARDBOARD HERE.

It’s a big word right now, because it’s an even bigger topic. Our sustainability goals are huge, and we always have our finger on the pulse of the latest in eco-conscious options; from packaging to processes to delivery.

Believe it or not, sustainability can look contemporary, modern and like it belongs on your ‘LA vibes’ Pinterest board. At LUNEIA, we don’t believe in style over substance, so we’re here to create both in unison, and pledge to never compromise on either.

We know that small individual changes to our daily habits can have a combined impact, which is why our offering is, and always will be, evolving alongside the latest in planet-kind developments. Practicing mindful, sustainable choices are a key aspect of our everyday rituals, and we’d love to help you make them part of yours too.

OUR TUBES

Our Radiance Ritual mask is housed in a tube made from 50% PCR (post-consumer resin) plastic. PCR plastics give a new lease of life to waste, including PET, PP and HDPE, that may otherwise be sent to landfill or end up polluting our oceans.  Above all, PCR is better for the environment than it’s virgin counterparts  and through its use, encourages wider supply to meet the demand of conscious consumers. With less virgin materials being produced, making a PCR tube creates lower carbon emissions than transition plastic and glass.

In recent years, plastic has - rightfully so- come under scrutiny from customers, but the material still has its benefits. As it’s lighter in weight than glass, PCR plastic has a far lower carbon footprint than it’s heavier counterparts. Our Radiance Ritual tubes are not only made from 50% PCR recycled plastic, they are also fully recyclable post-use; offering a dual benefit to our planet and establishing our place as part of a circular economy.  Simply rinse out, separate the lid from the tube and place in your recycling bin. We won’t claim it’s perfection, but it’s progress.

OUR CARTONS

Our product cartons are created using pulp from sustainable forestry practices and printed with vegetable inks. Vegetable inks are sourced from commercial crops, which are renewable as well as having the benefit that they help to fix nitrogen to soil in their growing process, keeping the areas that they’re produced on fertile. In comparison to petroleum based inks, vegetable inks release far less pollution, with as little as 4% VOCs compared to up to 40% emitted by their oil-based counterparts. Keeping our product cartons not only fully recyclable (thanks to them being 100% glue-free) but aesthetically pleasing is SO important to us, as we think you deserve it all.

As our product range grows later in 2020, so will our pledge. Stay tuned for more.

VEGAN, CRUELTY FREE FORMULATIONS. GLOW GUARANTEED.

As lovers of our world, naturally, we also respect every being that calls it home.
We’re proud to have been awarded The Vegan Trademark by the revered Vegan Society , for our environmentally conscious practises and commitment to being a force for good. As a key part of being certified, our products are made in the UK in line with stringent EU regulations.

Being kind to our animal friends shouldn’t mean that you aren’t kind to you too, which is why you can trust our vegan, cruelty free, paraben-free formulations to always still be potent, impactful and result-worthy.

SKIN SCIENCE, IT’S SIMPLE MATHS.

The ingredients we choose are intentionally curated, and as we’re producing a line of specifically targeted products, everything that goes in has a clearly defined role to achieve a visible desired result. We have a minimalist INCI list of around 10 ingredients making their way into each of our formulas, compared to the average beauty product having 40. By selecting only the most effective ingredients, our products are not padded out with unnecessary fillers, just those that are needed for real results.

Simply put, it’s straight to the point skincare + the science to back it up

Clinically proven, our active ingredients take months of thorough research and testing, meaning that by the time they make it onto your skincare shelf, they’re already staples in our team’s routines.

We think that equals ADD-TO-BASKET.

OUR MUSE, OUR MANTRA

Our products are designed to improve your skin health, but we value the importance of what you can’t see, too. That’s why we believe in wellness rituals, and know of the power that simple acts of mindful self-care can have on your wellbeing. After all, contentment in your own body and mind is what it’s all about, right!?

Our message is one of empowerment. The I AM MY OWN MUSE mantra that you’ll find inside our Radiance Ritual’s packaging is one that we’re incredibly passionate about. At LUNEIA, we aim not only to inspire you when it comes to your skincare choices, but encourage you to be inspired by who you already are. With our products by your side, we aim to boost, elevate and champion what makes you- you.

We know clear skin is just the start, but it might give you the pep up you need to take on all the important bits of your day with your head held just a little bit higher.
